ANTÓNIO CAMPINOS – PRESIDENT OF THE EUROPEAN PATENT OFFICE (EPO)

The European Patent Office is one of Europe’s most important institutions for innovation, research, and the protection of intellectual property. It is a place where ideas, technology, and progress from around the world come together to help shape the future.

Meeting António Campinos was particularly inspiring. He combines international perspective, intelligence, and remarkable openness with a calm and approachable presence. What impressed me most was the time and attention he dedicated to the entire process. The session ultimately lasted nearly twice as long as originally scheduled — something I experienced as a genuine sign of appreciation, curiosity, and trust in the creative collaboration.

Together, we developed a visual concept that reflects not only the role of the President of the European Patent Office, but also the personality behind the position.
The portraits were created in The Hague with a clean, timeless, and contemporary visual language focused on expression, character, and presence. Projects like this are especially meaningful to me because photography has the unique ability to communicate trust, identity, and personality. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with such an interesting and inspiring individual.
